Tips and Tricks
Stickers-another tough
challenge. I purchased an accordion folder and I file them
sports, holidays, child, themes etc. Label everything! It
will make your search much easier.
If you ever need to remove a
sticker, after it has been placed on your layout, use the
backing paper that the sticker (or any other sticker) came
on to help you. Gently slip the backing paper underneath the
edge of the sticker and "coax" it off by wiggling the paper
back and forth. The sticker will slowly release its grip as
you work underneath it, and usually come off without leaving
a mark on the page. You will often be able to reuse the
sticker!
If you have a sticker and want
it to be 3 Dimensional by using a pop dot...do this first.
Using a small artist's brush, dip into talc or corn starch
and shake off excess. Brush on back of a sticker to take off
all the "stickiness". Position pop dots on the back of your
sticker (now turned into die cut) and place on your layout.
**This is a good way to use your stickers in a more
dimensional way. You could also put the sticker on a piece
of cardstock and cut around it the place the pop dots on it.
If you have sticker that need to
be brought out try glitter glue to out line the shape or
picture.
If a sticker is in the wrong
place and when you try to lift it just ends up tearing your
paper and making a mess. Try Dental Floss. Hold each end and
gently move it back and forth under the sticker. It comes
off much easier.
