Scrapbooking Tips and Tricks
Ribbon is a wonderful way to
accent your scrapbook layouts. You can attach ribbon to your
pages with adhesive, tie it through an eyelet, brads or even
staples. Picture hangers are also a great way to attach
ribbon.
How to Tie a Bow~ Take a piece
of ribbon, make a loop and hold between your index finger
and thumb in one hand. With the same strand of ribbon, make
a loop and hold between thumb & index finger of your other
hand, Now tie the loops together (as if you were tieing your
shoe). After you've made a bow, cut the ribbon so the ends
are the same length.
Stop Ribbon Fray cut the ribbon
at a very slight angle, not too sharp. Then light a big
kitchen wooden match and let the flame even out and then
just barely touch to the angle of the ribbon all at once and
it will melt the end. Please do this over your kitchen sink
with water handy and ready to put out the match if you need
to. I have had ribbons catch on fire
How to make Ribbon Photo
Corners, first select a ribbon and cut to a little more than
double it's width. Second fold the top corners to the bottom
center. Third iron it and place it on your page with an
adhesive.
Use sheer ribbon to tie around
pictures like a wrapped package.
Run your ribbon through a Xyron
machine to easily adhere ribbon to your layout. You could
also make a bow and run the bow (as long as its small
enough) through the machine.
