To keep gel pens operable do not
shake--instead scribble on a piece of scratch paper to get
them going. Also, you can store them in the freezer for
smooth writing.
I just bought a utensil tray for
pen storage. This way the double sided pens lay flat. A
utensil storage turntable for my pens (and other equipment)
that I use every time I scrapbook. I keep the turntable at
my workspace so I can see at-a-glance every pen that I could
use on my layout.
Journaling pens come in a
variety of ink-types, consistencies, colors and styles. The
most important difference between journaling pens and
regular pens is the use of pigment ink, which is fadeproof,
lightfast and waterproof -- so it won't disappear over time.
Journaling is a fun and
important part of scrapbooking. There are many types of
journaling pens to choose from to get the look you desire.
Choosing the right tip size can really improve the look of
handwriting, and using several different size tips can
create a fun, imperfect look.
