Tips and Tricks
always keep a sketchbook nearby
so that if inspiration comes to mind I can scribble my idea
down before it fades. I update it as I go and then when I'm
satisfied with the general idea, I tear it out and put it in
the proper project pouch where the corresponding, paper,
fibers, embellishments, journal pieces and photos.
Use an inexpensive spiral bound
notebook to jot/brainstorm/sketch ideas for layouts. Also to
collect quotes, title ideas, etc.
Some of the best ideas come when
you are about to go to sleep or when you get out of the
shower so keep a book by the bed just incase you think of
something.
Turn your layout upside down to
view it. If anything is wrong, too strong a focal point,,
symmetrically off. balance it will pop out at you. You may
also look at it in the mirror and get the same results.
Never ever glue anything until
you are done! Lay it ALL out and leave it for at least half
an hour. Come back and look at it again. If you don't like
it, don't glue it down.
