Tips and Tricks
Chipboard is cardboard....but
not the corrugated kind.
To find free chip board look at
your local scrapbook store you can get 12x12 piece of
chipboard these are used under paper, when the paper funs
out they will toss these if you see an empty slot for paper
then you can ask if you can have the left over chipboard.
Save "clean" beer mats or
costers and adorn as embellishments, use as mats for photos,
or cut out letters, shapes etc (like chipboard). Could even
be used as the basis for the cover to a mini-album.
Adhere your photo to a piece of
chipboard with any adhesive. Sand the edges of the photo and
chipboard, and ink or leave sanded depending on the look you
want.
Placement help for Chipboard and
Sticker Alphabets use wax paper to get a straight line. Put
the letters on the wax paper where you want them you can use
a ruler, start at the top and put the wax paper back and
place the sticker letters down on the paper then pull off
ther rest of the wax paper and the letter will be in a line.

needed in a certain color or paper. Cover pre-cut chipboard
letters with paper, sanding off the edges for a nice
finished look.
When you buy a pack of paper,
save the backing. Also you can ask for it at your LSS; they
usually have lots lying around and will give it to you. When
you buy a pack of paper, save the bakcing to it as well.
Chipboard can be used for covers
for handmade mini albums.
They are great for painting and
heat embossing. The thickness gives your pages an extra pop.
To save money, I use the back of
writing pads and non corrugated cardboard from some boxes.
Start recycling cereal boxes,
and any other kind of box in your cabinets. To use a
chipboard.
