| Chalking Scrapbooking
Tips and Tricks
Chalking or inking. Using chalk
or ink on the edges of paper add dimension by separating the
different layers without adding a lot of distraction. You
can also add a distressed effect to paper by inking or
chalking it all over. Combine this technique with paper
tearing for an even more interesting look.
Most of the chalks you buy come
with an applicator. If there is no applicator you can use
q-tips. Another option is a tampon, it doesnt fall apart,
chalks evenly and is economical. When I wanted to change
colors I just snipped the end off with my scissors and used
the next color until it was gone.
For easy clean-up, keep wipes
next to you when chalking or rubber stamping. Stay away from
alcohol-based products.
Erase chalk with a regular white
eraser when it is on the wrong place on the layout.
Try using drywall tape instead
of magic mesh. It can be painted, inked, chalked.
